Meet the Chef
Executive chef Quentin Royles leads the kitchen at Eighteen and it is his relationship with local growers, farmers and fishermen that shapes everything on the menu, from producers in Romsey and New Milton to the day’s catch landed locally.
For Quentin, cooking in Christchurch has always been about telling Dorset’s story through food rather than following trends: take something genuinely good from someone who grew it, caught it or made it, and do just enough to let that show. Our modern British menu spans breakfast, lunch, dinner and afternoon tea in central Christchurch, celebrating the finest seasonal ingredients sourced from trusted local farmers, fishermen and artisan producers. Seasonally, we also offer what one local described as ‘the most delicious sunday roast in Christchurch.’
Whether an intimate dinner, a relaxed lunch or handcrafted cocktails at the bar, we strive to make a visit to Eighteen feel considered, warm and never anything less than exceptional.
Eighteen is also home to Christchurch’s Saturday night jazz scene, and has a private dining room for occasions from birthdays to baby showers or even for intimate weddings.
